Modding Northstar

This page goes over the minor differences of making mods with Northstar. It's intended for those who already know how to mod Titanfall 2. If not, there are other guides here for you.

Northstar modding has one key difference to regular Titanfall 2 modding. With Northstar, you no longer have to repack and replace vpks.

Instead, your mod can just be a folder that has all the proper file paths. Not only that, but your mod can be easily enabled and disabled in the Main Menu.

File Path

Your mod will be installed in the Titanfall2 > R2Northstar > mods folder. You can name your folder whatever you like.

From here, your file path in this folder starts at mod. So, if your mod contains a modified weapons folder, the filepath would be: Titanfall2 > R2Northstar > mods > [modname] > mod > scripts > weapons.
