Announcer
An announcer takes a lot of what we've learned from previous mod guides and puts them all towards one thing, someone who talks over your match depending on specific things that happen.
THIS PAGE IS NOT FINISHED!! Read ahead at your own discretion.
Because we always work with the assumption you'll have a random sound be played, in this instance we're working with the assumption that you want multiple announcers, and that the randomly chosen announcer is locked in for the remainder of the match. Thankfully this is possible and fairly simple, though more complicated than the previous sections.
Following this guide, your announcer(s) will be able to speak when:
you get x kills within one life, specifying what was used to kill if you wish
you die several times without getting a killstreak
you destroy a titan
the match first starts
the match ends (victory, defeat, draw)
you want an update on the current match timer (5 minutes left, 1 minute left, 3 seconds left, etc.)
you want an update on how the match is going (If the enemy team or you are winning, by a hair or by a landslide)
How do I make an Announcer?
The flexibility of the announcer is basically the culmination of every other sound Mod Guides section. Anywhere you can find to put custom sounds, you can put announcer lines. They're relevant in a lot of these areas really. Anyway, this is why the Announcer is at the bottom of the Mod Guides list.
This section will go more in-depth for some of the previous sections. For example, in the Almost Done music section, we learned how to check team scores, and start playing music based on that. What we can also do, knowing this information, is directly compare team scores, and have our announcer react to how the match is currently going.
